Policies                                                                        


                 Shipping                                            
Scientific Equipment of Houston combines all items according to weight and dimensions to arrive at a shipment cost according to destination zip code and shipping method chosen.  We use UPS and the United States Postal Service to ship most of our shipments.

We also have freight rates for larger orders within the Continental United States of at least  60 up to 90 percent off published UPS Freight rates.  Please ask for a quote if you will be ordering a shipment of 250lbs or more. 

We do ask that our customers not choose any UPS service if you only provide a PO Box. 


                 Payment                                            
We ask all of our customers to use our Marketworks checkout system for the most efficient processing or your order.  You will be able to choose Paypal, credit card payment, check, money order, or purchase order* upon checkout with the option of giving special instructions or handling for your order.  *Please contact us about requirements using purchase orders.   Your order will be shipped when an approved payment is recieved.  Our orders generally ship within 1 business day.  


                 Refunds & Replacement               
All UPS orders will be replaced or refunded up to $100 if they arrive broken or in unusable condition.   All insured orders will be refunded or replaced up to the insured amount if they arrive to the customer broken or in unusable condition.  If you are unsatisied with your product we will refund you in full plus reasonable return shipping charges once we recieve the return in resaleable condition.   If you decide you don't want or need your product we will refund you for the product only (refund not to include shipping charges) upon return of the product to us in resaleable condition.  Please try to make returns within 7 days and insure them for your own protection if they are fragile.   Some items that may be unique or difficult to stock may not be replaceable, only refundable. 

                 International                                   
These policies do not apply to International orders due to the high cost of freight and lack of consistent insurability.  We will work international orders on a case by case basis for our international buyers.  International buyers are discouraged from purchasing highly fragile items.

We reserve the right to adjust shipping charges for international orders within fair and reasonable means due to the variations in dimensions and packing requirements of our products and the extreme variation in shipping expense due to these variations.  We have done our best to provide the most accurate shipping calculations for your convenience.  If requested we offer USPS International First Class for packages under 4lbs, but there is no tracking for this service and no precise delivery time range. 

Canada will be considered Non-International.
